    Maybe. Communication helps...

    Wow! It's outstanding how one can receive laptops every birthday.
    Have you told her you didn't need any more laptop?
    Or is she too stubborn to see it annoys you?

    @F1973 @neeno @Berkmann18 @AleCx04 oh god not regularly, once every ~4 years. mid tier however, $450-$550. if my family could afford that i'd probably just buy my own laptop.

    @calmyourtities That's better but still, why not spend more on one that will last longer than that?

    @Berkmann18 parents be irrational

    @calmyourtities hm.

    I wouldn't say irrational. They're caring.

    Honestly, I'm a bit triggered. Paying a laptop - even in the 200 $ range - is a lot of money, like - a mfugging lot - depending on job, income and debt.

    I don't want to judge... But please. Think about that.

    @IntrusionCM My first proper laptop was a 700€ Dell and it's been falling apart since year two. It's on its fourth year now and I'm just waiting until some vital component croaks, I don't even want to know how bad the cheap laptops are in terms of manufacturing quality.

    @sudo-woodo yeah.

    But I think you understood my comment?

    Sometimes it's more giving a thought about how (!) someone made it happened instead of the value.

    It's a very personal thing - but maybe appreciate the thought and the care more instead of being focused on the value?

    @IntrusionCM Wow yeah, It's 2 AM and I totally misunderstood your last comment, my B.
