Tried using a new language...
Syntax was really nice to work with, no additional bloat like webpack/babel required either...
And then I hit the roadblock...
they enforce *hardtabs* with no option to change to spaces D:

    I love how it looks and writes but fuuuuuuuuck I hate tabs with a passion (mostly because some devices I write on physically do not have a tab key)
