Why is it called brown bag sessions? Not white or black bag. Black bag sessions

    Because the company are too tight to provide lunch, so you bring your own like this

    Never heard of this term until this thread. It sounded like a vomiting session in a brown bag. I remember throwing up in a brown bag when I was 10 lol

    All I know about that is it's like a short talk (usually longer than lighting ones) session.
    I've only experienced it remotely, so I don't know why "brown bag" is in the name other than the possible links to people bringing take away bags to the talk.

    We don't have those kind of bags here, so that probably explains why there's no such expression too
