    These people are plain dangerous.

They promote the worst security practices and because they usually are quite vocal they manage to convince even more people to act the same way.

The same applies to those shitheads that do not use any kind of antivirus on Windows because they only visit "safe" sites.

    Fuck them all.

@nickpapoutsis I agree and after that he wrote that he has "tons of anti-virus software" installed.

@nickpapoutsis you can't only blame the guy, he wouldn't be this way if Microsoft hadn't made their updates so obtrusive and persistent.

@lue428 Updates must be persistent (from a non tech person's perspective) but I agree they can work on the friendliness/logic of them.

@nickpapoutsis I don't know about the friendliness but I installed Ubuntu on my father's laptop to just acquaint him with it. He finds the Ubuntu software update much better than Windows Update, simply because he just has to do one click and it doesn't restart his system.

@Siddharthkr93 Windows updates are pretty much one click away as well but restarting the system is pretty much mandatory. However, they could stop forcing system restarts and just let people do it on their own.

@nickpapoutsis that forced restart and then taking hours to update when the machine reboots pisses people off. Linux pretty much updates in the background without user getting to know anything. No restarts required. Why can't windows be like that?

@Siddharthkr93 Different architecture mostly. But I think they are trying to get better.
