Why doesn't the number of unread books on my reading list decrease?

*Modify my android app I wrote to record the stats and daily changes*

Oh, now I see....

@Letmecode Not in Play. It's specifically for Blinkist (book summaries) because I wanted to see stats which the app don't have. It needs root tho, to access the SQLite db and I'm guessing they're going to add this feature sometime so it's like a temporary hack.

I didn't have averages before but the number of unread books kept going up even though I was reading like 1hr/daily...

The more I read the more unread books I have. Wish I had the time.

@Letmecode Yea I started using Blinkist because it has good summaries so I can get the main ideas of a book in 15 mins.

My reading list for like full books before was like 200 and I have a Kindle library of 1000+ free ebooks...

And full books are like 1 book every 2 weeks so yea...

Guess I'll switch back after I clear this reading list. Looks like it may take half a year at this rate...

@Jumpshot44 What do you do in your free time? For me I guess reading is a form of relaxation. I don't watch much TV other than anime and don't play video games.

Oh and I spend 2 hours on trains every weekday.

@allanx2000 I love to read. I spend 10 hours a week on trains. I read books and rant. Kindle is great for books and now reading lots of PDFs I convert to nice mobi format.

@Jumpshot44 same here, also got a few magazines and newsletters like Pocket, Quora, Medium... And then there all those 200+ pg books.

I came across Blinkist a few weeks ago which is sort of ironic since I had thought many times over there years "wouldn't it be great if someone could summarize these for me and give me the key ideas"

I think it's pretty nice cuz you can get the gist of the books and they follow up with recommendations and I've actually found myself reading a lot of books that I normally wouldn't even consider because the cost is now so much lower.
