My son loves...loves Star Wars, so when Star Wars Battlefront (on the PC) went on sale, he jumped on it.

To my shock (I'm not a big gamer), the game is filled with hackers/cheaters that are able to give themselves 'god' mode, so they can kill in one shot and take no damage.
My son (and others in the game) keeps 'reporting' them, but it looks like an issue EA is ignoring.
My son keeps asking me "You're a programmer, can't you fix the game so they can't do that?"

Good lord...I could care less about russians "hacking" our election (moronic press, doesn't even know what that means), but hacking my son's favorite game!...hmm..wonder how long it would take me to drive to EA headquarters and find that SOB dev manager in charge?
I get it, cheaters are gonna cheat, but fix your friggin' code! Aren't you embarrassed!?

Don't give me any of that "we don't know how they are doing it..." nonsense. This is devrant, not <insert media outlet you hate>.

    Sadly any online game will have cheaters, most of them aren't hackers, just script kiddies.

    I loved GTA online, till cheaters ruined it.

    It's mainly the accounts which cheat to avoid paying real money for content that tends to get the eyes of (insert corporation here)

    Well figure out how they are enabling god mode and either level the playing field or figure out a reverse hack

    @PaperTrail this is how you even the field by the way. just googled it and that has to be some buggy code for it to work

    "Anyone else seeing people with God mode? It pretty simple to get it. Just crash flying vechicle in ground and press the eject button(Sqaure) at same time as you hit ground"

    @IronPhreak I wouldn't even call it an exploit. just poorly written code. just looking at the process I can see a try catch with an empty catch with no extra state checking so the player goes into limbo

    @IronPhreak yeah I'm not into gaming. the last game I played was gears of war 2 my senior year in high school. was fun cause me and 3 friends managed to beat all the hoard levels but after we did that the game just got too damn easy.

    I'm not a cheater myself, but I believe to beat a monster you have to become a monster. I was hoping the 'hack' would have been a patch where I could have wrote up an anti hack for the kid cause ruining the game for young kids just ain't right

    @jckimble this bug is fixed afaik. Now it's an aimbot that also change ordinary weapons into orbital strike (aka one shot kills), that will literally just jump around the map killing everyone

    @yusijs ok thanks I'll look it up. hopefully it will show something normal players don't have where I can make "The battlefield godslayer" to level this crap out

    The EA SOB Dev manager will be like:
    "Yo, son. Where is my trunk, filled with a shit ton of cash. Without it, we ain't do nothing, you stupid *****"
