Got an offer letter today and have to decide by tomorrow. I don't what to do about it. The offer/company is good but not awesome. Should I wait for something better or should I accept this. I don't know, I am really confused.

The point is: your current work/company is awesome? Your job is actually awesome to? If so and if thay company offers you the possibility of being awesome one day, why not?

@fiskolin I am not working right now. Got laid off when the startup failed. The offered job was an okay job not an awesome one. What I am concerned about is if I wait for it will I get an awesome job? Or am I being overly paranoid?

@godofhavoc To frame it another way, if you were starving and were offered a loaf of bread, would you refuse it in the hope that someone will throw you some caviar?

@godofhavoc How long have you been looking for a job? How long have you been coding? What is your concerns about what could possible go wrong?

@fiskolin Have been coding for a year. Looking for a job for a month. I wish to work somewhere interesting. Someplace where they build something super awesome like an AI or something but those guys wouldn't want someone with limited experience like me...

Just take the job beside it's not you who get to decide if interesting job is a mart of your destiny then you will get it, you have an offer and you don't have a job just accept it and try them. You don't like the job then get the hell out and look for something that correspond a little more to what's in your mind. Just go with the flow.

Since you have just 1y experience don't wait for many awesome jobs to come your way.

Better take this nice job and get really good at what you do (maybe a year from now?). Then look for that awesome job and blow everyone's mind.

That's what I would do (even if I had money to last me a lifetime).

@nickpapoutsis This. I would do exactly this.

Also worth considering how strong the job market is in your area (Silicon valley? NYC? etc.)

Take it. You will find that awesome jobs go to people who already have jobs!

@mpotratz I don't. It was my hope but it doesn't matter anymore. I am gonna make this one awesome.
