I hate winters just because my fingers get freaking cold while coding. :@
Anyone else?

I'm glad, in Indonesia there is no winter.

Good for u! It's chilling winter here in India

Yes, fingers get stiff when it's too cold, makes it hard to type. Try very thin gloves, possibly with the fingers cut off.

    Cold?!
Looking at the weather map over India, I see the lowest temps are like 19C (66F) and the highest 32C (90F).

Thats what I expect in a nice summer day!

-1C and clear skies in Stockholm now :-)

@makkBit @JohanO where I stay it's a nice 22/34°C but drive a couple hundred kilometres away and the temp drops to 10°.

I hate winters too but only because it's depressing. Cold gets to my feets (at home) yea, but it never made itself an issue for my fingers and typing.

@JohanO India is a diverse country
Likewise it's temp is also diverse. One place it's 20c another place place it's -20c. Place where I live it's 8c.

@makkBit Just staying in Goa for vacation. Definitely no cold fingers here.

I'm wondering if I can still use my fingers when I get home in an hour

    Currently -27C here

@Dacexi I'm feeling for you. Where are you located?

@Jase Indeed. Taking regular breaks (every 20-30 minutes) may help as well.
  • 2
    Did you try coding indoors?
  • 1
@Markd721 being outside kind of freezes you finger so they become unresponsive and slow for like 2 hours.

Winter is awesome - the cold is an excuse itself for not going outside

@Dacexi I know the feeling up here in NY!

What u do in the winter is extremely overclock my gear and have my radiator by an open window. While overclock to about 5.3GHz and 20 deg idle temps 👍

Build an AMD desktop, overclock it and liquid cool it, close the door and your room will be toasty in an hour or so.

    I always code indoor...

My roommate likes to keep the room very cold, and I don't really notice it because I wear a jacket at all times, but when my hands start to slow down typing, I know there's a problem

@Dacexi Where is Sweden is that - Jukkasjärvi?

My first guess was that you were somewhere in Russia, like the old Gulag resort Vorkuta in northern Siberia, but Google shows that it's about 10C warmer there than wherever you are.

@Grumpy quite close. A tiny little town with 2000 ppl called Vilhelmina

Must not be typing fast enough.
