Just came back from vacations and windows 10 thought it would be great to get fucked up...
It's been like this for 10 minutes... Restart won't solve... I think I will just go back to vacations...

1. Take something from your bosses office
2. Format the disk and reinstall windows
3. Leave the thing from your bosses office near your computer
4. Frame your boss for deleting all your files.
But seriously press 0 before startup then go to troubleshooting>advanced tools>command prompt and run chkdsk /F C:
(Or maybe it was "chkdsk f/r c:" I forgot)
It worked for me.

I'm trying to fix the same exact problem with my sisters laptop. Screw Windows 10 updates, they break everything...

Have you considered that maybe windows isnt back from its vacation?

Oh, this is easy to fix.
1. Run around in circles.
2. Call 911.
3. Delete everything.
4. Install linux.
5. Make love to your computer.

Open Task Manager via CTRL+ALT+DEL and start a new process “explorer.exe“ via the menu on the top of the task manager. Solved it for my many times 😁👌

@LongBit Odds are that is for a very different problem than the one he is having. But ppl are so amazed when I fix simple problems that way lol
