This is probably totally the wrong platform for this, but I'm a .NET developer in the UK and I want to find a role and move out to California.
Nobody I apply to will even engage me in a conversation. Does anyone have any tips or good websites/companies to use?
Been trying for two years now and it's become pretty soul-destroying.

@uddinstock yeah I need to get a visa and a sponsorship. Not sure if I can get one through a contracting company and then get farmed out from within there, though, hadn't thought of that. Actually have my own Limited company because I'm a contractor here.

But I can only get a visa that would allow me to do job interviews and not actually work without the proper visa.

Can't help but feel that moving across the world for a 3-6 month contract is a huge risk!
