    @SortOfTested I could talk about that song for hours lol. I think the main metaphor for Satan is when humans give in to their own ego.

    @phat-lasagna I always understood it to be about free choice based on the gift of knowledge. The snake is the good guy, right, bringing enlightenment to Eve to leave her toxic controlling BF?

    I never understood religion that well though, my dad used to tell me all the time that the Earth was flat and carried by elephants standing on a turtle — which I totally believed until he gave me a Globe and a Terry Pratchett book for my 5th birthday with a card "You're a fucking gullible kid".

    I think color of magic was like the second or third book I ever read by myself, but I did become a lot more skeptical of shit people told me after being betrayed by my dad like that.

    @bittersweet The burden of knowledge is what makes us ungodly. We r the children to the marriage of order and chaos. The freedom of choice defines our path, not our true selves, and our choices will always affect others too. Humans are just the poor observers of this phenomenon, and we have to deal with it everyday. This is represented in the forbidden fruit.
