so yeah all i wanted to do was to install ffmpeg and it starting bitching about some dependancy errors and when i tried to fix it, i ended up wrecking my whole system because i started to play around with the sources list....

    Omg ffmpeg and libav, I hate these. I tried to build them once, it was a nightmare. Then I went on to read the history of the projects, that made sense.

    @Gauthier i dont know how the fuck it even uninstalled my virtualbox. so now im doing full system update then upgrade to make sure that all the libs and softwares are up to date so i can try to teinstall ffmpeg, I JUST WANT TO WATCH MY WEDDING VIDEO THAT IS IN QUICKTIME.MOV

    so yeah after i spent literally the whole day updating and upgrading my system just to get ffmpeg up and running, i came across an error that days moov atom not found... all that bullshit just to play my wedding video... brb jump off cliff

    @momos1 vlc didn't work? As a user I think vlc via apt worked the dependencies fine last time I tried.
