I like to compare OSses to playgrounds

OS x: a grass field with a fence with a watcher that keeps you from doing something possibly dangerous(/fun) . It's safe but not a lot you can do

Windows: a grass field with a fence, you can climb the fence if you want and do dangerous things if you aren't carefull. less safe but you can do more

Linux: a terrain of your choosing, you can do whatever you want, but it can quickly become dangerous if you don't know what your doing.

    @champion01 @champion01 virtual environments are as simple to setup in OSX as they are in Linux. Same for node environments with nodeenv.

    Automator and terminal make a powerful combination. If something isn't available out of the box you can script it yourself. Not to mention UNIX-Linux compatibility

    Been using OSX for last 5 years, never felt "trapped", I just love it. Before I used Windows for 15 years, I felt pretty handicapped looking at it now in retrospective.
