Is it just me or are the people most upset about the iPhone 7 the same ones who'd never buy an Apple product anyway?

Based on how many people are violently upset at Apple for removing a 60 year old piece of technology from their phones I'm guessing this is the ideal types of ports for some people. Because why try something new when you can stick to legacy technology?

Recruiter rant #2.

"Hi, am I speaking to xroad? I got a position with <company> and I think you might be interested in it."

"Is this in <city>?"

"Um, I'm not sure"

I was contacted about a dozen times for the same position the week before. I had to tell him where it's located.

My dad bought a book on introduction to Macromedia Flash.

I came for the animations, stayed for the coding.

I hate how some recruiters treat you.

I get it - I'm not your client, the person hiring me is. I get it - at the end of the day I'm just a big bag of money in your eyes.

But at least treat me like a person. I may have a family I need to take care of and the carrot you're dangling in front of me may mean the difference between me living comfortably and me being homeless. So after an interview even if it didn't go well let me know. DON'T avoid my phone calls or emails because you don't want to deal with breaking the news to me and instead hope you just never hear from me again.

Any iOS devs familiar with EHR integrations? I'm stuck and I need motivation (help)

I explained my latest project to a non developer friend. I told him I'm almost done with the code, now I just need to debug and get it ready for production.

"Why don't you write code that doesn't have any bugs?"

"Holy shit! I never thought about that! Thank you so much, I'll make sure to write bug free code from now on".

Coolest bug is less of a bug and more of a feature. I've been working on a medical app and I used an open source backend which had almost everything I needed. To be hipaa compliant you have to encrypt all sensitive data - full db encryption was not something this backend was capable of.

So my solution was to encrypt the data on the client side and create a secondary server - that can only be accessed on my app server - to store and retrieve the keys.

If anyone's thinking of working on a HIPAA project - you're welcome

Any native iOS devs want to help me finish my app? It's a medical app and I estimate that I'm at least 70% done with it. But I guess since I'm supposed to be posting a rant WHY CAN'T I FIND ANYONE TO HELP ME?!

A recruiter set me up with an interview for a company I really liked and I thought it went pretty well. But I tried following up with him and he refuses to answer my 3 emails or pick up my calls. It's fine if I didn't get the job but this is the first time a recruiter just completely ignores me without giving me any feedback. Has this even happened to anyone and how do I deal with this?
