I don't want to work on the project at my job anymore. It's an over engineered piece of shit.

I work on my pet project at home, but only for about 20 minutes at a time. After that, I feel the need to walk away and waste my time with other non-productive activities.

How do I get my love for development back? Has the corporate world killed it?

Find a project that you are passionate about. IOT, Google Home, software, help disabled people. We need you building cool stuff. Good luck!

Feeling the same thing right now. I work on shit I hate 40 hours a week and then I'm barely motivated to do my freelance projects in my spare time. Doing small fun projects helps a bit as well as just taking a break from dev work to improve a different skill.

I was the same way. At 52 and completely unmotivated in the corporate environment. I saved money, paid off debt then quit my job to learn and Xamarin mobile development with a group of friends.
