Anyone here has managed to accumulate some passive income outside a 9 to 5?

I haven't, but I think one of the doable and realistic starter ways of making a side income is for instance with the Amazon Affiliate Marketing program.

Here's how it works: say you own a bunch of stuff at home that you'd like to review (a video game, a Yeti microphone, etc.). You publish a product review on YouTube and then you provide the sponsored Amazon links in the description. People who are interested will click on those links and with luck, they'll purchase the product you've advertised; you also get commission on any products they buy after following your link. You get a commission (5% I think) on each sale. So, for instance if 60 games are sold at $50, you get $150 that month, without doing anything. I know it's not much, but it's a start.

If you're really good at producing quality reviews then this could be a tangible solution.

@CaptainRant so basically pretend that I own the stuff and write a review about it? Also I never wrote a review so idk if I would be good at something like that.

@thirdworld Basically making a review about (recent, attractive) stuff you own (after buying the stuff).
For instance, with games; I find that MetalJesusRocks on Youtube does excellent game reviews; very fun and professionally edited. Then again, he also uses an iMac Pro I think to do the editing I think? Yeah, there's lots of work involved, including set set-up; for instance, he uses soft lights, green screen, a rotating disc to showcase a game,..

Though, reviewing has to be structured and well-thought out. There's a whole production phase that foregoes putting it on Youtube - at least, I think so. I've taken some Audiovisual Arts in high school, where I learned that.

Hm, pretending to own may be dangerous. I'd buy products (such as a video game) and review them. Imagine reviewing games you pirated. What if Amazon asks you for proof of purchase? Yeah, I'm sure it's probably stipulated in their agreement.

For a review to be attractive, it should be high quality.

Investment is a decent way to get some extra stuff. If you're reasonably smart about it it's pretty safe and generally has better return than banks.
