My manager announced in today's team meeting that I got promoted and going to work in another department next month and no one said anything and I'm so fucking triggered. I just can't help it, I worked with most of these people for a long time, I know their best wishes mean nothing but come on, how fucking salty can you be, and why do I care so much lol.

I am currently experiencing a slowdown in my career progression...trying to study for the RHCSA exam and I had interviews for two new positions in my current company, first job I reached the final interview but they went forth with another candidate.

For the second job they have not yet responded.

Anyways I was thinking of trying to complete my RHCSA since I already paid for the exam and then study for masters degree abroad and try to immigrate to a country with a better quality of life, thoughts?

Fuck, they updated the internal move policy in my company from 1 year 9 months to move to another team to be at least in the same team for 2 years.

I hope I can find a way to gtfo faster because I am honestly so tired of this shit, the tasks are getting too repetitive, my boss is useless, spends her time shopping instead of working and being stuck with a bunch of juniors means you only have the internet to learn something new.

I really want to start delving more into PAAS and start working with docker and kubernetes. Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Company: Well the process was changed and we decided this certification does not match your profile

I work in a very famous, large European company, recently my country got hit hard with inflation (18% +), as a way to leviate this, many multinational companies have increased their employees wages, my fucking company instead decided to take advantage of the higher exchange rate and keep the change in their pockets while literally the cost of living here has soared and is about to get much worse. fucking greedy cunts.

I got both fundamental Azure and AWS certifications, need to choose one to stick to for the future, I'm leaning more towards AWS since it has over 50% more market share than Azure and a much bigger and more robust platform, I also really like how they constantly add new features and services and integration with third party software. Azure developers seem to get paid more though and I found its UI to be more user friendly so....opinions? 🤔

Followup on my promotion raise:

Well the negotiations didn't really lead to much in the end, my salary on average is going to be the same except I will be working a minimum of 12 hours less every month.

Not really exciting if you ask me but at least my technical level is going to increase and to be fair I got promoted in 7 months while others usually take at least 1.5 years so I guess I should be grateful for that.

I just didn't really get that excited since my salary will be virtually the same but meh I guess, in the end I'm proud of myself for working my ass off and building up my reputation, If I wouldn't have accepted this promotion he would probably have given it to the second best, then I would never have forgiven myself.

So....yay? 😅

I am supposed to be getting a promotion next Month, manager sends me the new offer and it's lower than my current one because I lose the extra "shifts allowance". ofc I do not respond to the mail and I guess we'll be talking about it tomorrow, pretty hilarious shit though.

Gender bias at work is usually AGAINST MALES, like seriously I had a great year in my new job and I'm happy about it, but end up finding out that the boss awarded only females in our team😒

2.Start imagining and planning in my head

3.Start working on my idea

4.Give up mid-way

5. Get depressed

6. Get back at it way behind schedule and still not complete it

7. Go back to step 1 except that's basically how I start something new and not just a project :)
