It doesn’t by itself. But it is a driver therein. I started gaining weight when I started at my current job, but that was due to having less time for exercising than before and the unhealthy eating habits of my colleagues (which meant many an unhealthy lunch). Wfh has just made it worse, mostly because it kind of cut short the nice training block I was on and at least for the first few months you didn’t really know if it were ok to go out riding or not, most of the gear in another town anyway and so on... getting back on track after that has been a struggle to say the least.

@100110111 i want that all of us get a 6 hour work day instead of the nonsensical 8 hours.
-
I workout from home, was going to a gym for a while but i hate being surrounded by people so I came back.
-
@heyheni who makes you sit 8 hours. First of all, people rarely work more than 4 real hours so a lot of time to walk around, breaks, pretending to get coffee.
-
@aviophile oh you’re supposed to pretend... I’ve just grabbed a fresh cup every half an hour just to have an excuse to walk around a bit

mundo0349114y@100110111 the pretend part depends on how micromanaging your management is.
I had a meeting with my manager today, discussed my workload and activities, then I only checked ny email and took a long nap.
It is 11pm here and I am considering working for a couple of hours.
And I don't need to pretend none of that happened. :D
