I had a 6.+", 300+ pound dev get in my face after he belittled my code and I called him on it. Claimed my formatted SQL (select.from.where all on separate lines) were the reason for the poor db performance. It wasn't his N+1 code pattern (that was fine?)...it was the carriage return+line feed characters causing SQLServers optimizer not to function at its optimal efficiency and the processor had to strip all the 'wasteful' characters. I called bull-ya-know (few times I ever cussed out loud at work)
T: "You calling me a liar?"
    Me: "No, you're just wrong."
    - walks over, gets in my face -
    T: "I've been a developer for over 10 years. I know what I'm doing"
Me: "Yea? Me too, ever since MSSQL 6.5. Can you prove it?"
    T: "Wha...? uh...its common sense"
Me: "No, prove it. We're computer scientists. Execute the process and prove me wrong."
    - drops an F-bomb and walks out -
That altercation got me called into the boss's office to discuss my problem with not being a 'team player'.

Nearly. Guy was telling everyone for ages everyday how great windows was and how much Linux sucks. Telling it as opinion, fair enough but that was way too fucking much.

Well the pseudo-dev i am talking about slapped me just because i asked him to use an IDE instead of the command line for a project that we've been working on
