Back in the day when daily standups where still physical, i worked at a place you had to pay a euro if you where late. This money would then be used to buy the team dinner on pizza nights for example. Ofcourse everything changed with the daily standups being digital now.

How would you still implement somekind of correction for people being late unnecessary?

Meetings are poison.

Weaponized drones.

What about fireing them? If it isnt as big of a deal to fire them or file disceplanary consequences I wouldnt give a shit to explain someone why I am 5 min late for the meeting.
I would feel like in school again if someone would force me to donate pizza. Especially today there are more than enough reasons to be a little late with kids at home and twice as much meetings. People should not feel obligated to tell you why they are a little late. If they are late 10min+ tell them to inform the participants beforehand or report their ass when they do that on purpose.
