Strg is the short version of Steuerung, meaning Controll :)

In school we had the same "issue" with the "start a calculator app" button. Guess what? 1000s of calculators opened.

Its a problem of Windows, but I have to write Japenese email with IME with German keyboard through English layout because the IME doesnt recognize German keyboard.

@tf0054 hey, you're on devrant. I use german layout for german text, japanese layout without ime for coding (basically english layout). The position of the special coding keys are better then. And for japanese input I activate ime. So I just need two layouts installed instead of three.

The only problem is with blender. Sometimes I hit some "switch layout" combination and wonder why ctrl+z doesn't work. Then I notice that my layout changed mysteriously... (z and y keys)

@sirjofri Right. Its bc I am too used to use Japanese layout, but the position y and z is annoying and the way to use alt is also tricky ex. @ or | (for me)
Anyway, the best would be to learn and to write German LoL

@jAsE there's a vim plugin for exactly that. But you can also place braces etc, or even code around it.
