    I have a separate folder to exclude this situation. Cut and paste everything to "work folder" and you're done.

    @tisaconundrum it does, but you have to enable it. You shouldn't have desktop icons though, it's not 1995.

    Just how my desktop would look like if I not had enabled hide all icons. Reason that I use it as a dumping ground for files I need to save quickly and temporarily, and forgetting about them😒

    Many years ago i was creating an app to split files into smaller parts . Then i gave it one of my desktop files . The app ran into an infinite loop and created 17000 files in my desktop 😅

    No desktop folders allowed.
    Forces me to organize my files.
