In your opinion, it's ok for employer to call / message after work or anytime not within the working hour? (Like call you for some task in the middle of the night , etc ..)

Sure! If I’m not on call, they can leave me a message 😁

If I'm cool with it, sure. If not, I'll establish boundaries so it won't happen again.

Only if it’s time sensitive or an emergency. There’s a fine line between being a “team player” and being taken advantage of after hours.

No! He should know there’s this thing called email where you can send a non urgent message without pissing off your employee who wants to take time to enjoy life. If it’s a deadly bug that needs to be fixed right away then ok, that’s legit. But then again complaining about phone calls during weekends might get you fired, sadly

    If there's something really urgent

It depends. If it's an expected part of the role that's made clear upfront, I'm on call, and I'm adequately compensated, sure.

    Otherwise, no.

    Depends on the country.

For example in France it was made illigal. Even send email outside workhours to employee.

With very high penalties for employer.

In Canada it feels like everyday thing.
