I'm struggling with a bug. It's not my bug, it's in a lib - in an assembly function commented as "this is where the magic happens". After 27 hours of trying to determine what triggers said bug my best guess is it's a relationship between the position of Mimas and the mood of my neighbour's chonker. If it's not triggered by the Saturn's moon and a pet animal... I'm out of ideas.

Now how do I break it to my PM that we have to kill a cat?

    you can't debug magic !

Same here mate. The worst bugs are the one you need to fix because of a third party someone else made.

It's like being thrown in the middle of the desert and being told "good luck with that".

    This is how I debug...

Tell your PM that you'll need help from an Oracle because of how strong the magic is

As you seem to be a muggle, it looks like you have to rewrite it without using magic.

You will still need to scrifice that black cat to get rid of the residual magic of the old code though.

Can not open an issue or to try copy and modify this lib (in small libs this is a good way)? Maybe u can't do nothing, without know where the bug, is very complicated. The last time I did some thing like that, I tested the code for hours, almost 5 or 6 to found where was the problem
