AWS sent us notification saying our EC2 instance is about to be retired due to hardware degradation and scheduled for 22nd Feb.
Problem is... They've already pulled the plug to the instance without warning....
So here I am, trying to get the server back online after 4 beers....

@Letmecode personally I prefer scotch, but I drink anything that comes my way.
Server down is not what I want to deal with while being tipsy, worst wake up call ever!

At the end, all we needed to do was to contact support and they stopped and restarted the instance, that was it, no data loss. Except for the minor heart attack :p
