    @bashleigh now that the chromium version is finished they're gonna drop it in favor of a Mozilla based solution just so devs have as many different HTML engines to test as possible. Then, they create a different browser in the name of standardization, using a proprietary technology which replaces standard HTML. They use their market share to legitimize the tech and the global internet is split between MicrosftHTML and OpenHTML. This hell is only a year or so away.

    I really hope this puts an end to the miserable discussions with managers and clients that force developers to still make their apps and websites work for IE. God, I hated those so much.

    Unless the EOL gets enforced via patch which removes it from the system and prevents installing it ever again don't you dare to hope it's going away.
