well today is my final day in this scammer company So I wrote a long essay in the code to warn the next programmer , if they found it and know how to decode it .

I’ve done that before, too.

I left lots of little cryptic comments in the codebase that would only make sense to other devs.

I think my favorite was “Promises outside of ES6 will not resolve.”

The boss in question broke every single promise he ever made to me. Info, raises, time off, promotions, bonuses, hiring, many many incentives, offers to help, promising to be less of an asshole, not to insult and scream at me, etc. Abusive monster.

@Root wow, that sounds horrifying..

usually i'm against writing off topic comments in codebases. But if the company in itself is the problem, then i might let that pass or even make them aswell, especially if it compromises the quality of code (which depends on the person, who sits in front of it)

Another thing is easter eggs. Sometimes it just pushes the mood, if you find some interesting or funny comment here and there (if it's not too much ofcourse)
