I think that depends on the company, ours is a former dev and sits in on all stand up meetings, refinements and many design meetings.

But I have heard that to often they place a pure business person there.

Product Owners are theoretically supposed to have knowledge of how shit works. Sadly, theory and practice are often very different.

@kescherRant Exactly! And I hate it. Company should be able to identify the toxic person on the team and should warn them for literally fire them.
