    i say not at all.
    economically its really not interesting.
    dont remember what it was exactly , but something to the effect of paying 20$ a month, and earning like cents on the unit sold.
    not a good deal.

    i say you're better off building a game in unity and selling it on steam. even if your game is garbage (prolly will be, most people fuck up the first time they do something), you should still be able to squeeze a couple thousands units sold.

    steam takes 20% and unity takes 5% iirc...

    here's a gamedev blog. the guy works on unity and his games were initially shit. but he gets incrementally better. and he sold those games on unity. might be worth a look:

    @Dunkin could be, been a few months since i have checked the matter. but didnt look good in any case. being paid with rolbucks or smth is a big bright red flag.

    learn unity, and blender. it isnt "that" hard and those are skills you can proudly put on your resume:)

    @Dunkin youre welcome.

    usually devrant isnt a beginner-friendly forum, so dont get discouraged if you get treated harshly. you can find good people too.

    Godot doesn't take anything (%) and is REALLY strong on the 2D side. 3D is also getting better. Targets for most platforms.

    @Demolishun from what i hear the learning curve is steeper with godot...

    @bad-frog godot is not hard. I haven't used Unity so I cannot compare. Its just a component based node system. Very intuitive.

    @Demolishun then ill look closer into it.

    godot being open source is very enticing for a tinkerer like myself:)

    and it will be the perfect opportunity to check out node-based programming.
