TFRecordDataset is probably the ugliest thing I've seen in a forever. Who the fuck is responsible for this ugly ass?

Isn't the whole library written like shit? Someone told me it's because they have the “mathematicians” with Ph.D.'s writing the code instead of software engineers. lol

@amoux by "the whole" you mean tensorflow? Tensorflow particularly is not made for those who can't do the math. Keras is its wrapper for a reason.
But this one dataset format, is very java-esque. And it's ugly. And there's literally no reason for using it when you got numpy and pandas and so many other manageable sets.
