Wait a sec, isn't there this feature where you can subscribe to them, but for money? Like twitch.

Eklavya17684yThis idea of advancement is degrading ourselves and our livelihoods
We were far better in woods without any internet facility
Though it was made for the ease of education
Now it seems to be more involved in malpractices
Good content requires much time to be proved -
Maybe ask the creators if they take donations? You can pay what you think is appropriate and they will likely benefit more from it than from you seeing a few advertisements.

Because the world is run by vampires.
Probably because tech is perceived as hard. People don't understand that hard makes it more worth while. -
Idea:
Create a youtube channel that does ridiculous gag stuff that tech people don't normally stoop to. Record reactions of people to the gags/pranks. Do the whole tuber celeb bullshit that pranksters do. Except its nerd-centric and as stereotypical as you can get. Maybe go full 80s dress shirt, pocket protector and black rim glasses with tape. -
nitnip18134yDon't. If you really, **really** want to compensate them, use one of the donation options available to you or else it's like saying "I wish I could give them 1 cent for their hard work, but all I got in my pocket are 5 dollars.".
Or, you know, like/subscribe/share their videos. Those metrics are important to youtubers.
They are not going to live or die because you're letting google ads play on your browser. -
@nitnip I do the least of liking, commenting, and subscribing to the channel to boost the analytics.
-
@rados using what metric do they pay the creators?
@ostream that's nice. Problem with me is, there isn't a single that I follow end to end. I have many to few ratio where there are many creators and each has some good stuff.
I feel guilty for using YouTube Vanced and being unable to support content creators.
Shouldn't there be a feature that allows you to toggle ads on certain channels you want to support?
I really want to support such folks who are creating valuable educational content but Google being the biggest piece of corporate shit, makes me angry when it comes to compensating the creators fairly when they make Billions off their hard work.
The world is a better place because of such teachers who spend time, energy, and efforts to create valuable and useful content for rest of the world.
Funnily, back in days when we had awesome stuff, the tech was shit to document all of it. Now when we have advanced and easily accessible tech, we have shitty TikToks.
Why can't the creators of good content get more visibility and why is the world so fucked?
