How's everyone? :D
Off late, I have been revealing a bit about myself over internet. Some threads even disclose a lot of my personal information (like the face reveal I did here sometime back).
A simple Google search leads to lot of information (some created by me and some created by others).
Is there any way, I can wipe my digital footprint?
I am ready to delete my accounts (I got barely few social networks), manual work and reach out to orgs having my information stored to take it down.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
My current approach is to Google about myself with various keywords and they navigate to relevant links and delete the content.9
Just unsubscribed from a newsletter.
This is how I was greeted.
Meaghan, you bitch, I am never coming back.28
What's happening faggots?
Okay so follow up on my previous post: https://devrant.com/rants/2254482/...
A lot of you here and Reddit really like my post. Thank you!
I went ahead and made this Repo collating and curating a lot of stuff from internet around the role of a Product Manager.
Do have a look here: https://gitlab.com/Floydimus/PM/...
Sharing here for first time but many loved it.
I decided to move forward and have a proper side project where I actually do stuff and help others.
I have a friend who is willing to do it with me. However, we are stuck with what to do?
Shall we start a blog? Consistency and content will be an issue and also it is quite subjective for anyone to like it.
Newsletter? But of what and why would anyone subscribe to us?
Continuing on one of my earlier ideas of Linkhub (where some of you contributed) but again we need to narrow down to a topic and not sure what it could be.
What would you suggest? Ideas, tips, advices welcome :)13
It's been long since I made my last post or interacted with anyone here.
I actually miss you all but life is taking a toll on my virtual social life.
Been doing a lot since a while now.
Here I made a repository where I collated, curated and published some knowledge, tools and resources which will help me and others to grow in their career.
Not sure if this can directly help you but do have a look and let me know where can I improve it.
Looking forward to some interaction this time with all you folks.
After delaying this for a while, I have finally managed to write another blog.
Let me know what you think.
Sorry time female dogs.
I have had a love hate relationship with Google.
I hate them for:
- Ill intentions
- Privacy breaches
- Tracking users
- Building products only to kill them later
- Bandwidth throttling
I love them for:
- Amazing UX
- Smooth integration
- Cross device availability
- Bandwidth throttling
Anyway, most of you know that I was planning a short vacation to London in July. I booked aeroplane tickets and my first halt was at Istanbul.
I love networking and meeting new people. I use couchsurfing too alongside other platforms to meet and interact amazing people out there.
I reached out to this girl in Istanbul to meet and if she can show me around. My first message was in English to which she responded that she does not speak English.
I used Google translate to talk to her in Turkish. Everything went so fucking smooth. We finalised to meet.
The way we met in Istanbul can be a story in itself. So if you all are curious, let me know and I shall post it in comments.
Now the real thoughtful part by Google is that people will use their Translate app in foreign land where chances are they will not have internet access. The languages are available offline. Fucking brilliant.
I downloaded Turkish language offline and it worked smoothly. It was great grammatically too.
We met and communicated via Google Translate app which I had offline and had a real great time.
If not for Google, I wouldn't have been able to meet such an amazing person in an unknown territory.
No doubt the company is doing bad things, but in some ways, they are fucking awesome.15
Any app which can save offline public transit navigation and maps?
I tried G Maps, Moovit and City Mapper. All of them need internet.
Also, how easily can I find internet on a foreign land?24
My office's admin team is bunch of retards.
The season has changed and we are welcoming monsoons.
Temperature has dropped quite a bit now and these donkey fucks are keep cooling as low as 23 degrees Celsius.
We are used to 35 degrees Celsius outside office and the sudden change is causing hell of an issues.
I tried reaching out to person in charge with cooling and they reset the temperatures everyday.
Fuck the flying spaghetti monster, I am shivering like a vibrator.
Not only my hands and legs and ears and brain but even my dick is numb now.16
FUCK ME. JUST FUCK ME.
I AM SO FUCKING PISSED RIGHT NOW.
I WAS PLANNING MY FIRST OVERSEAS VACTION AND ASKED A CUNT FOR SOME HELP.
BITCH TOLD ME THAT I NEED FLIGHT TICKETS FOR VISA. I BOOK TICKETS AND APPLY FOR VISA.
FUCKERS DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT TICKETS AND THREW THEM ON MY FACE.
VISA WAS DELAYED AND HAD TO CANCEL MY TICKETS.
I FACED A LOSS OF SOME 115 USD.
I TRIED TO CLAIM IT UNDER TRAVEL INSURANCE. SHIT FUCKS HAD 100 USD DEDUCTIBLE.
FUCKERS JUST PAID ME 15 USD WHICH WAS BASICALLY THE INSURANCE PREMIUM I HAD PAID. SO TECHNICALLY I GOT NOTHING.
NOW LATER WHEN AS I REBOOKING THE TICKETS FOR NEW DATES, I GET A GOOD DEAL.
BEING A LAZY PIECE OF TURD, I DECIDE TO BOOK LATER.
FEW DAYS LATER, KABOOM!!!! NO DEAL IS AVAILABLE.
A DAY LATER THE DEAL IS AVAILABLE. I SAID WILL BOOK ONE WEEK BEFORE THE DATES. YEAH!!! I AM A LOSER CUNT.
DEAL MISSING AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!
I HAVE TO BOOK THE TICKETS INDIVIDUALLY. I WAIT FOR A FEW MORE DAYS. THE PRICES ARE RISING EACH DAY.
INCOGNITO OR COUPONS OR SKYSCANNER. NO SHIT WORKS.
I FINALLY DECIDED TO BOOK THE TICKETS. IT COSTED ME 130 USD MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL DEAL.
SO OVERALL, DUE TO LACK OF PLANNING AND LAZINESS, I ENDED UP WASTING 230 USD FOR NO GODDAMN MONSTER DICK SUCKING REASON.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT MORE SUCH WASTE OF MONEY AWAITS ME DURING THE ENTIRE TRIP.
MY MOOD IS RUINED ALREADY BECAUSE THE PLANNING AND EVERYTHING IS STRESSING ME OUT AND INSTEAD OF EXCITEMENT, I AM ANXIOUS.
FUCK SHIT EATING DONKEY FUCKING TOUTS.33
Another Google rant:
I am starting to hate this company as much as I hate Facebook.
Unskippable and repetitive ads of same brand bombarded on every god damn video.
Not only this is making me hate the brand, I am starting to hate Google for this now.24
Another Google rant:
Why the fuck am I shoved this cancerous apps in my face by Google?
I have reported them and show 'not interested' countless time and yet being prompted to install the crap in my phone again and again.21
Fucking bugs everywhere. Normies around me say Google is the best, flawless company.
I can find bugs literally in seconds after hitting on a product.
Shows me a 'Like' button on my own post. Why the fuck would I like my own post?
As stupid as it can be, people actually do and I never understood why.
And when I try to like my own review (because I am fucking cool nibba), it throws a stupid error.
Not even a valid one.
This is SOOOO FUCKING ANNOYING.22
I am lately being active on devRant, LinkedIn and Reddit.
I made some good connections and friends. Never socialised any better.
However, after I installed the dR app again, I ended up wasting my time scrolling more miles and posting more bullshit.
I keep browsing Reddit for stupid memes and LinkedIn for no specific reason.
I recently cultivated a good habit of reading and I mostly read eBooks. That said, I finished 2 books past month and half way through my third book.
I had a plan to complete it over the weekend but *sigh*
So now I have uninstalled the apps and focusing more on learning and reading.
BTW I am not addicted to apps, I am addicted to people I meet there. You fuckers are awesome.7
Any devRanter from Istanbul, Turkey?
I am on my way to collect my passport from UK embassy and I am sure I got the visa approved.
So now my new airline tickets will give me a 20 hour layover at Istanbul.
Not only I am excited to explore the city, but I am more excited to meet my fellow ranters there. Let me know what works.16
Mozilla Executive uses Amazon Alexa.
And they say, they care about the browser respects user privacy. LMAO
Someone please notify Google that we are past half the year. Smh!
What pisses me off is the fact that they rarely provide any relevant release notes and often don't provide at all.
Just because it's their platform, they do whatever they wish to. I hate this attitude.10
Monsoons hit the city. Let me welcome my seasonal anxiety and sadness.
Unless it is pouring at night, the light or drizzling rains make me sad.
And in other news, I overhead a friend saying my crush got married yesterday.
I'll be back, there's some dust in my eye.6
So here's the deal on how I WILL sort my life and fix the leaks:
1. Get into the new PM position as early as possible.
No matter what it takes. I will have to stay low key.
2. Meanwhile learn all the shit of and around Product Management.
Includes reading books, learning tools, methodologies, communicating and interacting with fellow PMs, courses, reading more articles, blogs and books. JUST FUCKING LEARNNNN.
3. Get a new job as soon as I get the new title on paper. Because I need MONEY for survival.
Also, I want to be in B2C environment instead of B2B.
4. Meanwhile implement the stock market script/algorithm based on the theory I learned. Guys it works and if any of you need it, shoot me a message and I shall share.
5. Invest and earn. Want to have a side income and distribute my investments too.
6. Start with that goddamn side project. Outsource it if required (mostly after I score a better paying gig).
Stop looking for Plan B, Floyd. There is no Plan B. There is only one and we have to stick to it.14
