Fuck me! I'm frustrated as fuck, because I'm too scared to quit my job.

The boss just fired her assistant and now wants me to do her job. I'm INCAPABLE of doing phone calls and set up meetings; furthermore THAT ISN'T MY FREAKING JOB! Holy shit, what do I have to do?

I'm scared to not being able to find a job in few days/weeks. Any suggestion? Should I swallow it and keep working here while searching?

I aged badly in 2 years because of this job.

Immediately start looking for a new job. Your physical and mental health are not worth it. If you can support yourself financially to be jobless for some time just yet, stick with it only until you find yourself a decent job. Health is number one priority, and a nice job that you like is number two. If you don't take care of yourself, nobody else will... Good luck :)

If it is effecting your health it is time to look for another job.

What languages do you know? I learned PHP for the fact that PHP jobs are everywhere. They may not pay as much but I am confident that if I lose my job tomorrow I can get another in less than a month.

@veshsare I was just in the same as your situation. My suggestion is also to start looking for jobs immediately. I was scared to do that too. But when you really start it, it actullay helps in many ways.

You will be more mentally invulnerable to this shitty job because now there is a hope to safely get away with it. You will also be open minded by talking(interviewing) to others, which makes you stop thinking shitty job is your life. Finally you will find a way out. Either somehow happily except your job or get a better one.

Start finding new jobs, don't afraid to be refused or ignored. And good luck man.

Start looking, but also make sure your boss knows that she's hurting your performance. Be direct but respectful and say something like

"Taking phone calls is difficult for me. Please look at hiding an assistant or secretary instead. I want to write code, but all this other work is exhausting me too much."
