Does anyone have experience with no-code or low-code platforms? My company started a huge project in one and it’s driving me nuts like why do i have to do my code in colored boxes in a child’s play??

I don't have experience with those, but aren't they meant to be a workaround for non-programmers? What do you have to do with them?

@kamen yes it is for creating simple applications for non-programmers, but we have to create a complex multiuse data analysis application..

@thebugdi Then it seems that there's something very wrong with management, i.e. if it's complex enough, it would probably require more developers, and if there are more developers, it won't be needed for the majority of the application to be created with these blocks.

Totally agree and and there are mainly interns working on it :)

Well we used blockly as an abstraction for our users. They can program complex robots with blocks.
I dont think YOU in particular are programming in blocks are you? This would be hilarious :D

@Crismon thats the funny part, We write the whole program in blocks :D i’m a newcomer to the company, but god I will leave as soon as possible

@kamen how the fuck were you able to change your background but still no avatar?

@Floydimus Never really liked how impersonal the avatars look like, so never cared to set one up. I would put a real photo of me if I could, but that's probably not going to happen. As for the background, I don't know; I haven't done anything to it; it might be related to how old my account is (I think I've been here since devRant's first year - was it 2017?). Never really noticed that until you mentioned it, but now that I look around, [almost] everyone without an avatar is green.
