Hate how here in France most of the research labs use SAS/STATA instead of R. I wonder if it's the same elsewhere

Hey thanks! I guess it's because it used to be more user friendly, and at the time it was implemented everywhere in France, SAS might have been a bit more trustworthy. Trying to change mentalities, but it's going to take some time...

I'm studying in Switzerland and am going to visit summer school in America about data science and we are going to use SAS. Not sure if Switzerland or America or both decided to use SAS instead of R.
