recfab313ynice!
Side note: get a screenshot tool.
My personal choice is [Greenshot](https://getgreenshot.org/).
[Skitch](https://evernote.com/products/...) is decent too, although a bit heavier. -
Andrejr213y@recfab I really like this Greenshot gonna download and try it, thanks for the advice.
-
recfab313y@CuberDude yeah. Windows and Mac both have built in tools for screenshots but if memory serves they both just capture the entire screen and save it somewhere.
Greenshot and Skitch can capture a specific area of the screen, can take a screenshot on a 5 second timer, and most importantly to me, open and editor to mark it up with arrows and labels and highlighting and such. -
Eklavya17723y@c3r38r170 PrintScr key was made for the ability to take screenshot but on Windows you also need combination with Win key
On other customized os, it mostly works -
@recfab the shortcut I wrote allowed you to select an area
For full screen you do printscr -
@Eklavya When I press PrntScr on my Windows installation (nothing weird really) it saves the current screen in the clipboard. I don't need the Win key.
Are you sure it doesn't work for you? -
@Eklavya Weird, I wonder if it's a region thing or if I touched something... I don't recall having to press the Win key in any other PC either.
