I have a few interviews with companies in Amsterdam lined up in the next couple of weeks. Problem is that I don't really know what a decent salary is around there and what the cost of living is since in from a third world country where all salaries sound huge compared to what we get.

Any advice regarding entry to mid level back end engineer salaries?

Depends on the company. A quick search shows a range around 60k to 70k.

40.000 gross +/- 10% depending on the company/industry/hype... monthly costs, with flat sharing, can be around 1000, rest is left for food and leisure

@rantsauce entry level to mid range to get to 70.000 is highly improbable

@shekyb Wow that is actually utter garbage.

@thirdworld just to be clear i am talking in euros, and entry-mid level position, and monthly costs for someone in entry level of life - so twenties

Thanks for all the input. Definitely a different perspective than just a generic Google search

@horse it really depends is it a local or global company

@shekyb Yeah I get it but wouldn't that be quite low compared to countries like France and Germany?

@thirdworld yeah there's a pretty hefty housing crisis here
