I resign in a week. I need to turn in my work laptop. Calling it a laptop is a vast overstatement. Its a 2005 Lenovo with 4 gigs of RAM.

Most of my actual work has been on my gaming desktop. My work laptop is in a bag and I haven't seen, smelt or touched it for over a year.

And now I'm scared to open it.

    Don't. give it back 'as is'.
    If someone says something, tell them "I got it like that".

    How can anyone even run an OS with 4GB today? What the hell is wrong with the "leaders" of these "technology" companies?

    "We are the world leader in XYZ Technology. We also skimp on developer laptops needed to build XYZ Technology so we have more money for our yachts."

    @stackodev narcissism. It's a necessity to run an IT firm these days.

    Yea unless you have to get something off there that shouldn’t be in there, let firing up that classic that be somebody else’s problem.
