Embedded dev (amateur) turn game dev turned web dev.

Thinking about going back to game dev, but not for a studio. I don’t think I could ever do that again.

    Backend web dev as main
    Devops as secondary

    I guess all three?

    - I did make a few web apps and still maintain some of them.
    - Currently working on an app for iOS and macOS.
    - Been making games since 2018.

Pay me and I will program whatever you want me to. Yes Dr. Evil, it would be my pleasure to help you create Skynet.

Oh wish I could put a clear category on what kind of dev I am… I’ll just say cloud/backend stuff

@Root +1, studios are bs and the users blame devs for stuff instead of managers/marketing… as if we had decisional power, lol!
    Doesn’t help feeling good.

    frontend (full time)
    Full stack (freelancer)

Used to work on games for ~2 years, quitted out of burnout.

    Gamedev (Indie cartridges for C64)

    Internet infrastructure dev (Cisco firmware)

    Desktop software dev (Microsoft Office)

    NDT QA software dev (Aerospace)

    Biocomputing/simulation dev (Pharma)

Currently PHP webdev (where did it go wrong?)

No in all seriousness, I kind of enjoy working on the backend of a web platform, even in PHP.

And I do more than "just" PHP, as my current job revolves around writing/improving architecture libraries for domain driven development, messaging/event queues & modular services, writing FFI modules in Rust to improve extremely high-throughput areas of our PHP codebase, and setting up Redis read model caching mechanisms.
