Today I learned that although the frequency unit Hertz is named after a person, the German name for heart - the most human example of a periodic system - is also Herz, pronounced the same.

    That is interesting. Some guy back in the 1910 - 20 time frame came up with a frequency based way to discover more elements. He had populated the periodic table with more elements. Not sure if the table was called that back then. Supposedly all the elements he had predicted have since been found. I don't know what kind of math he was using though.
