Guys and gals in DevRant, if the interviewer said that she will send me the result of the interview within today and she doesn't send me the promised email within the said time frame, when it the appropriate time to follow up?

Immediately now... ! If they dont respond you within the organized time, just imagine how the other communication in the company will be?
Every task has a deadline and what happens when you dont get it done before?

Uhh...So just now I got the email saying they selected another person. She says "we were impressed by you though and we wish you all the luck in your search". Could it mean that I came on too strong? 😢😢😢😢😢
