    Ugh, using global variables for right and left 😒

    Is it still not international practice to always walk on the right side on all public walking grounds?

    @runfrodorun Then other people than just Frodo can run again! Nice!

    Common sense, like keep on the right side of the escalator if you have time to let the hurried ones pass by on the left

    Although in Belgium people do seem to forget..
  • 3
    @jerjer This is does only make sense if there are no people waiting at the entrance of the escalator (off-peak/no rush), see this: http://telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/...

    @Krokoklemme read more carefully !:D

    @Orionss I did. Now what?
  • 0
    @Krokoklemme if that was intended to be satirical, people didn't get it. If it wasn't, the joke is that walking right while going up would put you one the same side as walking on the left while going down.

    @SecondThread it depends on how you look at it. Seen from the perspective of an individual: yes, they will keep running into each other

    Seen from an absolute point, for example the beginning of the stairs, it makes perfect sense
