Be careful, somebody could pick your idea and actually try it.
Once I was making a joke about solving the problem of dangerous street in front of my house by adding a chicane to slow down cars and a few months later a politician actually proposed it!
(He lives nearby so he may have heard me while joking) -
I've been a (city council) politician, and it's hell compared to software development.
Incompetent tech lead? Try working with people whose only qualification for being in charge of their specific portfolio is votes.
Product manager giving you vague requirements? Try council meeting #264 on "Project: energizing the youth"
Enormous PR with terrible inconsistent styling? Try finding "local parking ordinance march 2014 version 3.pdf" on the city's intranet, and then go through all 243 pages to discover parking zoning districts were drawn randomly.
If I still had been involved in politics, I would have made a politicianRant.com
Why I can't be a politician? Because I would be that kind of guy who will definitely end this pandemic by suggesting the public to have their lung surgically removed.
I am a software engineer , I often remove cable from my local server and plug back in and it works. So I conclude , I can't be a politician.
