My boss is the CEO of the company, it's a small company with less than 15 people altogether. Now in the office it's even less there's 7 of us every day, the rest are remote or the boss.

The boss last week Thursday night sent an email talking about vacations, keep in mind she's currently on her third vacation in 6 months.

In the email she says no one but 'special' exceptions will be allowed to take summer vacations from now on, and if you would like to take your vacation you have to give a minimum of 4 months prior notice

Now I personally don't take vacations, (never needed to, no job before this was stressful enough to make me want to take one) but everyone else in the office is working on their resume's and planning to quit before the new year.

apparently being overworked and thrown under the bus time and time again, as well as an abhorrent number of other issues isn't enough to make people quit . but take away their vacations in the most hypocritical way possible and that's the straw that breaks the camels back.

I finally got a car, I've been practicing driving, and hopefully before September I'll have my license and that'll make it easy for me to get out too before things start collapsing too fast.

Shouldn't they talk it out before?

Not healthy to not take a vacation. Use them. Also in your next job. Fuck this one fast.

Which third world country do you live in where someone thinks they can get away with this? Or is it their intention to make everyone resign?

@c3r38r170 we would if she ever came in to discuss it. She doesn't read emails unless she's in office and she only 'plans' to come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays making it difficult to talk to her especially since she sometimes doesn't show up for weeks at a time. Would be no problem if she had someone who could do admin stuff when she's out of office, but nope we gotta find work arounds or suffer until she comes in.

Thankfully I'm the only tech person in the office so i get a little more leeway in admin stuff I can usually help every one else with most situations

@electrineer the US of A lol, and this isn't even the worst. I have emails written to send to both Hipaa and the Better Business Bureau on some horrendous privacy concerns as well as business practices. I just need more hard evidence before sticking my neck out on some claims

I would’ve been gone before the end of the week I think.
Be nice if everyone could coordinate and al resign on the same day.
Sounds like a terrible company to work for

@TrevorTheRat Well some people are trying to coordinate, and I've wanted out for a while I've just kept telling myself it would be better if I got my license first so I could expand my range where I could work, but I was passive and slow in doing that. lol procrastination is a bitch

but now it's down to the wire and I gotta actually get my license asap and apply for other positions if I don't wanna be the last one here lol

Would be funny if you all resigned and she only finds it out when she returns to empty office as you weren't able to reach her

I wonder if she knows that the company is going to close and instead of saying it out loud, she's just acting it out.
