How about the ability to save and manually post later feature?

I had an idea for a rant. It was gold i tells ya... if only I could remember what it was. 😥

i had this exact issue earlier

All rants should be automatically saved in the post field when you close the window. Is that not happening for you?

@dfox I do not know as i didnt try it, i just left the tab open for a hour then went back and posted it.

Maybe add a note to the error message saying that it has been saved localy?

it does if you close the rant and come back latter.
if you leave the rant open after the error message and then close devrant without closing the editor it does not.

I would leave it open so I could post later, then the app would be restarted, on purpose or otherwise and the rant would be lost to time and memory.

That being said, now that I know you can just close the editor to save the rant that is good enough for me.

You could, I say not knowing anything about it, auto save the rant as it is changed locally until it is posted. Posting of course clearing the local save. but that isn't really necessary now that I know 'the secret'™

2? I only get to post 1... maybe because it's not from the official app but... it does feel good that I seem to have forseen the future :)

I just updated the copy on the message so it tells you that on iOS/Android you can close the post rant window to save the text.

@allanx2000 we changed it to the 1 per hour very recently. Every client abides by that limit.

Cmon man, don't bother the devs for useless features. Surely you have a notepad app on your phone?

Let @dfox focus on important things... Like having the next hackathon in Florida... And not making it 21+...
