Me: "computer science engineering"

RF: "oh cool, can you install Ubuntu in my laptop?"

Why don't you just do it? It literally takes 10 minutes and you can get a free beer or two.

    Let her try BSD

@bloodcount Because it's just the beginning.
Once you give in, there's no turning back :x

@hube No offense but that's one of the stupidest ideas I've ever seen.

I'd do it tbh. There are so many people out there who don't try new stuff at all, and if I could help one try Linux, well, why not?

Spread love, especially Linux love. :D

Teach her how to do it! My friend helped me build my first computer when I was in college and learned about hardware. Then I discovered linux and tinkered with it for years. I'm on a Mac now, but it's helped so much with learning the cli and other distros. If you teach her how simple it is to do, she may just love it and try it on other computers 👍

@bloodcount But then there's the unwritten law that if you install Linux on someone's computer, you have to support it eternally.

@binarydigit Some people just dont give a fuck about what you try so hard to teach and expect you will be thier tech support 24 hour plus.. ask you how to do everything even they can just google how to do those easy tasks for about a fraction of seconds.
    (It sad but true)
    (happen to me)
(you have a good friend by the way)
