Throw in a 5400rpm mechanical hdd as standard.

    Yep, unlike with SSDs (and HDD spindle speed), the general public has been trained to have a Pavlovian response to the words CPU/ram/full HD/4K/etc.

    What really ticks me off about this is the "full HD" thing. While good by TV standards, 1080p is unremarkable for a computer monitor (see xkcd 732). Computer monitors have been held back to the lowest common denominator of TV sets for the last 13 years, because of the brand recognition of "full HD" and the economies of scale from using TV panels for monitors. Fortunately retina/4K is going to help put an end to that.
