Took about 67 hours to do homework task and still not got the job offer. And they kept asking few times when I will send the task, because they saw me as very likely me fitting, so I thought there is high chance to get and was motivated to do the homework.
Of course that much time took because I did not know technologies, it would be much less if I knew tech.
But at least learned new tech.

I've started to refuse interviews that do that. If they're paid, fine. Otherwise no chance

    Atleast you learned! 🥂

@Cyanide yea, and also created an opinion if I want to work with those technologies if other company offers job with those. Some programmers say it is good to learn techonlogies even if you not use them to be better programmer. I am not learning such technologies most of the time, but hoping that will bring me value :D I do not have that much time to learn technologies which I do not use.

This is a scam to get free work from people. Hope you put copyright notices in the code. Otherwise they stole time from you. Which is a crime where I live.

You might want to memorize the following incantation: "Fuck you, pay me!"

@Demolishun did not even think about copyright but that is not something very useful to steal anyway, besides novice who is learning :)

@Oktokolo actually they will not pay and I will not have even a chance to get a job at their company if I dont do for free the task

Guy at work said he heard about a guy that puts phone home code in his code. It would disable itself somehow or destroy data. Not sure how it detected if was stolen. Something to do with phoning home to repo or something.

Yeah. Couple of hours on something generic that matches my experience, fine. Anything more than that, no. If you're expecting me to write a language that's not on my CV (*seriously*?), fuck off.

I learned there are companies that don't require such things. They're the companies that you want to work for!

Which country do you live in? Perhaps we can help out!

@jkommeren small country, so I think I do not want to disclose in case someone can recognize me

Oh, I just love those assignments... even more send us the code snippet from your last job you're most proud of and describe what it's doing.. Dude, ever heard of NDAs?! Told them I can't, but that I can do some coding if they gave me a specific task to implement something. Nope, send us the old code.. dafuck?!
Company was 'hiring' for over a year, I stopped checking after some time, they're probably stil hiring...
Some legit don't know that this is a big no no, others (sadly most) just want free work done for them and/or steal shit..
