Some people have too much platform snobbery. "Oh look at me i use Linux" woopdy-fucking-doo! Well while you reinvent the wheel chucking commands at the wall I'm going to do some actual work and then go home and play a game using the graphics card it didn't take me a week to get the drivers working for. (Linux is great - don't get me wrong, just get over yourself)

@bandoncont let's not take everything super literally. It's all stereotypes, that's the point. That intern was probably like "eww not touching Windows with a barge pole" for a similar probably over exaggerated reason because well he's just too cool for that shit.

@ALivingMemory actually after using something like gnome shell .. it gets shed to use Windows .. Nautilus .. gnome shell .. terminix .. three things that make Windows firewall feel obsolete .. but at the same time u wouldn't hesitate to use Windows if the need arises .. also I don't know why he would take a week to install Linux .. it should take max 1 hour

It didnt take him a week to install linux, we are analyzing data and its kinda tricky to get calculation time on our cluster, but we have a preconfigured windows app for doing so
