Anybody has a good recommendation for a laptop for mostly full stack web development?
I think I should look for following features:

- minimum 16G ram
- Althought is 2021, just in case, I add: usb C to connect to a dock with two screens and SSD
- I'll run several docker containers at once
- time to time I make non-exhaustive work on c++
- good screen dpi
- I use linux
- portable. No need for the lighter in the market but easy to carry in a bag. Good battery.
- not too expensive

I can save on:
- I don't need the latest processor, just a good one
- I'm not a gamer. I not need the latest GPU. However, some GPU is appreciated. I don't need colorful leds neither.

Do you have any recommendations on laptops and/or features to search for/avoid?

Pretty sure you want Thunderbolt 3, not USB C.

If you don't need serious gaming and also not machine learning, I'd go for an AMD with iGPU, and make sure you occupy two slots with identical fast RAM modules because Ryzen likes that. And an Intel wifi card such as AX200, not Broadcom, because of drivers.

You can check out Linux friendly companies like Tuxedo (EU-based) or System76 (US based), these even ship with Linux.

I have a Tuxedo Aura 15 with AMD 4700U, 2x16GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 15.6" FHD screen, 1.65kg. Quite nice, I run Linux Mint on it. Price was about 1250 EUR. Dunno about attaching external monitors though.

I currently use a laptop (mostly as a desktop computer with additional screen and keyboard) which came preinstalled with Ubuntu Budgie and I am still very happy about it, it's an Infinitybook by the German company Tuxedo, who have been specialising in the production and setup of Linux computers.

If you can shell out for it--in 2021--32 GB RAM is more future-proofed--especially if you're running Docker while trying to do other stuff.

Lenovo dell and system76 all suck.
